Sales Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Engineer is a self-motivated, organized, team-oriented ‘hunter’ who will develop business with medical and scientific instrument manufacturers. In this role, success and failure are short-term steps to long-term success. We are looking for someone to identify, nurture, and grow relationships with OEM decision makers into profitable long-term business. We will provide you with a results-driven, entrepreneurial environment where you will work with a small team to succeed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospecting, lead follow-up, and relationship building with OEMs in life sciences and medical device markets.
  • Ability to manage details and multiple customer projects from concept to production.
  • Interaction with prospects on a technical level to uncover pain, define needs, and solve problems.
  • Develop and execute a goal-driven sales plan that delivers perennial sales and profit growth.
  • Collaborate with our engineering, customer service, and operations teams to solve customer problems.
  • Fail fast, accurately qualify opportunities, and efficiently develop a robust sales pipeline.
  • Achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue and profit goals.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPIRIENCE
  • B.S. in Engineering (Mech. Preferred) with 3-10 years of demonstrated sales success.

Assembly Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for shift production in an assembly environment. Key accountabilities include meeting schedule commitments while fostering a safe, high quality, top productivity, employee focused environment on an ongoing basis. The normal hours for the day shift are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, from Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on Friday. Additional shift overtime in support of customer needs is required, and attendance and active participation in planning sessions or group meetings is expected.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Talent Development
      • Coach, counsel, direct, train and generally supervise a staff of assemblers to meet productivity and workmanship standards on a regular basis.
      • Recognize and encourage positive contributions and identify opportunities for improvement. Actively participate in the hiring process.
      • Drive process changes through communication and consistent direction.
  • Production
      • Manage employees to production expectations and efficiency metrics.
      • Meet or exceed weekly production plans by allocating staffing, reviewing raw material supplies, and through an ongoing review of status to address issues and opportunities.
      • Working in partnership with manufacturing management to assure safe, smooth, and efficient workflow and timely processing of orders and materials by assigning and monitoring of work.

Technical Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager, with responsibilities as listed below. The normal schedule for this hourly non-exempt role is 7:00AM to 6:00PM, from Monday through Thursday and 7:00AM to 6:00PM on Friday. Overtime in addition to any overtime hours that may be planned as part of the regular shift is sometimes required. Overtime may be scheduled as an extended workday, beyond the normal shift, and/or on weekends or normally non-scheduled time.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shift Supervisor and assure smooth, consistent, and reliable production operation
      • Working in partnership with the Shift Supervisor, to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient workflow and timely processing of orders and materials by assigning and monitoring the work of shift machinists.
      • Conduct periodic checks and formally approve work movement between operations or processes.
      • Assist with machine and employee scheduling for maximum output.
      • Monitor machines to ensure maximum quality and output.
      • Assist in scheduling employees daily work activities for efficient quality output.
      • Lead will be responsible for driving change within their area.
  • Lead by Example - Train, Coach and Counsel
      • Provide hands-on training and consistent, regular feedback to new and experienced employees on proper machining techniques and approaches.
      • Consistently train employees on new jobs and processes to ensure consistent skills growth.
